20 things about me

I have been seeing this thread go around in the blogging world for awhile so I thought I'd give it a try!

1. I like to be organized! If I am not I tend to fall apart.
2. I do not really like to be alone
3. I grew up on a 40 acre farm and it was alot of fun!
4. I love to walk or hike and be outside (it will really be fun when I have a child old enough to do this with!), especially somewhere out in the open, or the woods. I learned to ski this past winter and it was one of the most fun things I have ever done.
5. As my boys are getting older I love being able to have deeper and deeper conversations with them!
6. My ideal way to relax is to sit on a porch or the beach with a book and watch my kids play
7. I like for my boys to dress alike because it makes me feel a little organized even when things are a wreck.
8. I have trouble falling asleep at night and always have
9. I love to cook
10. I love to scrapbook my family, I like documenting our lives in pictures and blogs!
11. Someday I want to plant a garden with my kids.
12. My favorite color is Red
13. I will probably never understand why people blow money on newer cars when all they do is lose value. Thats alot of money to lose just to look cool!
14. Someday I would like to buy or build homes for impoverished mothers in other countries.
15. I like old t-shirts, They are comfortable
16. Ice cream is my all time favorite food!
17. I am trying to workout and build my body back up with B vitamins before my next pregnancy (which is still awhile away)
18. I love it when people call me just to talk or want to spend time with me.
19. I love to go to weddings, or to see a brand new baby
20. I get excited about picking out Sissy's clothes and dressing her up.

This is what it looks like when all of Grandma and Grandpa Bradfields grandkids try to sit in the same chair!

I ran across this photo and thought it was just too cute! This was taken 2 weeks ago when we were in GA for a quick visit.

Our 5th Anniversary

We celebrated our 5th anniversary Saturday, May 24th! It is hard to believe that 5 years have gone by.

Tribute to Daniel

I just want you to know that although 5 years have come and gone.
My love for you grows deeper all the time. You are my best friend and we share a love that not many people ever experience. We have been learning and growing and loving eachother since the age of 14 and that is something really special. We have made some good decisions and bad decisions but that has not changed our love for eachother. You are a wonderful husband and father. You are good at almost everything you do. I know your recent job loss was hard for you but I know without a doubt that you did the best you could because that is how you are. I know how much you always dreamed of going back to the Sandals resort for our 5th anniversary and instead you had to spend it at the Super 8 Motel, but you know what? With the love that we share it does not matter where we spend our anniversary because it is always special! I love you with all my heart and I want you to know that YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL!

Please Pray for the Steven Curtis Chapman Family!

I cannot begin to imagine what this precious close-knit family is going through:-(

MARIA SUE CHAPMAN, DAUGHTER OF STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN, DIES IN ACCIDENT AT FAMILY HOME
NASHVILLE, TN…5/21/08… At approximately 5pm on the afternoon of Wednessday May 21st, Maria Sue Chapman, 5 years old and the youngest daughter to Steven and Mary Beth Chapman was struck in the driveway of the Chapman home in Franklin, TN. Maria was rushed to Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital in Nashville, transported by LifeFlight, but died of her injuries there. Maria is one of the close knit family’s six children and one of their three adopted daughters.
More than five years ago, Chapman and his wife MaryBeth founded The Shaohannah’s Hope Ministry after bringing their first adopted daughter, Shaohannah, home from China. The ministry’s goal is to help families reduce the financial barrier of adoption, and has provided grants to over 1700 families wishing to adopt orphans from around the world. Chapman is a five-time GRAMMY ® winner and 54-time Dove Award winning artist who has sold over 10 million albums and garnered 44 No. 1 singles.

Lord I ask you to touch this family in a special way and comfort them during this tragedy, especially the older brother who hit her. I know how I felt 2 years ago when I caused our van accident coming home from a rough trip to YWAM, and everyone ended up being ok! Please show this young man how much you love him and help him to forgive himself in Jesus name.

What Are We Doing?

That seems to be the question everyone has been asking us lately. Well, we started today moving all of our belongings to a storage building because Daniel has found it very difficult to get this house ready to sell while tripping over all the baby and kid gear we have for 3 small children in here! (He literally fell down the basement stairs one night because he tripped on some toys that were blocking the entrance). We made alot of progress today getting moved out and we are happy about that! We found a house in Bluefield, WV just across the state line that we really like. It is a gorgeous home built in 1921 with original woodwork and lots of room for a growing family with a great backyard. We put in a very low ball offer on it which was countered by an offer we could not afford so we are not sure what will happen there. We are going to talk to our mortgage broker tomorrow and find out if we can afford to up our offer a little and find out if we can even get this house without having the one we are living in sold. I am really hoping this house works out because if it does not we will be moving back to Christiansburg around the first of July. I love Christiansburg and would be happy to live there again but I know that Daniel is really wanting to build a house here in Bluefield as soon as we can and having to move and leave everyone behind after a few more years in Christiansburg would be very emotional for me. I am not sure I would even want to by that point because in the 3 years that we were there I got very attached. Please keep us in your prayers because I feel so tired of all the stress in our lives. I am tired of trying to live in a house that is undergoing a major remodel with 3 small children, I am tired of all the unknowns. I would be so thrilled to just settle down once and for all into a house that works for us and not move again for a LONG time. I will admit that we are not perfect and all of the stress lately has taken its toll on every aspect of our lives.
I know that God is in control and that all things work together for good for those who love Him.
I pray that He works all these things out soon!
