Sissy is Walking!

Out of our three children not one has walked early. Isaac walked at 16 months and James walked at 13 months so it is no surprise that Sissy has chosen the ripe old age of 14 months to begin her walking career! This is also the age that I walked. She can now walk all the way down our hallway and has greatly reduced her crawling. Her legs are so fat that this is quite an entertaining sight:-) The kiddos keep me busier than ever now that Sissy is able to join in the play!

10 Years Ago Today

Was June 11th 1998, I was 14 years old and it was my last day at BJU teen camp. It was on this day that a brown haired, brown eyed boy ran up to me for the first time and asked me the question " Do you like me? ". I looked down at my feet for a minute and didn't answer. He asked again, and after another awkward pause I finally said " yes ". Little did I know that my life would never be the same!

I don't believe it was a coincidence that this day also happened to be Nana and Pops 20th Wedding Anniversary. God definitely had a neat way of letting us know that things were meant to be:-). Happy Anniversary Nana and Pops!

Our 5th Wedding Anniversary Photos

These photos were taken by a VERY talented friend of mine from Williamsburg, VA. Her name is Jodie Barder and she is opening up a studio right now in Williamsburg and she will travel! We met randomly when I saw an advertisement to get a free photo of my children. When I took the boys to get their photo she noticed I was pregnant and asked me to do a maternity shoot for her. She has blessed our family so much with her talent! Please checkout her blog at

A Hard Decision...

After much prayer and counsel Daniel and I have decided that we are going to move back into our home in Christiansburg. This decision was not taken lightly and we hate to disappoint those of you in Bluefield who we have come to love. We feel that God has shut all the doors for us here in Bluefield for right now. We still feel that God may bring us back one day and if so it will be in His timing and He will provide the right place for us to raise our ever growing family (a place well off any busy road!). We appreciate so much all the Help we have received with our children, I am definitely going to miss it. We appreciate Crossroads Church and what a great place it was for our children, the boys still talk about the childrens play! We appreciate Josh Clarke and all the help and friendship you have given Daniel. You are the best friend he could ever ask for and I am so thankful that he has you in his life. I hope you plan on spending quite a few weekends with us! I had a great time in the Westminister Mops group this year and am very thankful for that. I am probably the most thankful though to Nana and Pops for all the time they spent with their grandkids. You are both wonderful grandparents and I know they will have some great memories of those times! Christiansburg is only a little over an hour away and I'm sure we will be back in town often so this isn't really a goodbye. We plan to remain a part of the Homeschool Group and maintain our connections here as best we can. Daniel is hoping to continue his part time job doing scheduling at home for Frye roofing so I'm sure that will bring us into town pretty often as well. We plan on moving around the 1st of July.
