March Recipe ~ Baked Oatmeal

I make this alot. It is healthy and very good! The kids really love it and usually ask for seconds and sometimes thirds. Isaac loves raisins but he prefers this dish without them and James prefers it with raisins. so I make one half of the dish with raisins and one half without. We usually eat this along with eggs but if we aren't having eggs I double the recipe and use a 9 by 13 dish for there to be enough for us. Although it looks like there are several ingredients this is done and on the table in less than 30 mins.

Baked Oatmeal

2 cups quick oats
1/2 cup raw honey
3/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp vanilla or maple flavoring (use a little less if using maple)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1/3 cup real butter, melted

Mix all ingredients together and pour into greased 8 by 8 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 mins.
