Mercy's Nursery is Finally Done!

I know it is ridiculous that I didn't finish Mercy's nursery until this summer when she was 20 months old, but oh well... that is life with 4 kids! I am fortunate that Mercy is tiny and will probably fit in her crib for another 2 years! I am by no means talented at decorating like my Aunt Debbie is, but oh well, here it is!

I chose pink, black and white for her colors and love how it turned out! I was going to paint the walls pink but then decided on a light beige in case we sell our house soon. I am so glad I did now because I think pink walls would have been too much. I found her bedding on ebay while I was pregnant with her which included her curtains, diaper stacker and everything for $69.99.  Mercy's window was so large that I didn't think her valance was quite enough so I added some long sheer panels and that made it look much better.

My Dad made this bookshelf for me when I was a girl. Perfect to hold Mercy's few things! She does not own much yet.

I found her changing table/dresser at a yard sale for $25.00! Yeah, it's a piece of junk and the drawer fronts are always falling off... but hey! It certainly beats nothing!

I got the black and white artist photo done of Mercy at the K-mart Olan Mills very cheaply! I then clipped a 40% coupon to Michaels from the Sunday paper to get the frame.

And here is Princess Mercy herself showing off her $50.00 crib I bought from a friend. The plates were a wedding gift and had green ribbon. I switched the ribbon to black to match her bedding.

Hope you enjoyed the tour! I hate that it took me so long to get these up! I wanted Mercy to be able to look back and see that even though she was #4, I did eventually decorate a nursery for her:-)
