Peanut Butter Pie

My wonderful friend Allison asked me to post my Peanut Butter Pie recipe on the blog and I told her I would, so here it is! I found this recipe when I was a "Lady in Waiting" (aka teenager) and have been making it ever since! It is very easy and I almost always keep the ingredients on hand to make one.

Peanut Butter Pie
(makes 2 pies)

1 cup peanut butter
1 large container cool whip
1 bar cream cheese
1/4 c. milk
2 cups powdered sugar
2 graham cracker pie crusts
Reeses cups (optional)

Beat everything but cool whip together on medium speed. Slowly fold in cool whip on low speed. Pour into the pie crusts and use back of spoon to make it look pretty. Chop up Reeses' cups to garnish the tops of pies if you have some. Refrigerate several hours.

note: We will usually consume 1 pie for our family dessert nights and then I put the other one in the freezer for later. So easy to just pull out of the freezer when you are taking a meal to someone.

*sometimes to change it up I will use less cool whip in the pie filling and then spread additional cool whip on top of the pie before crumbling the Reses cups on top to make a double layer pie. We love it that way as well!
